本标准规定了铜及铜合金复合钢板（以下简称铜钢复合板）焊接的材料、焊工、焊前准备、焊接、焊接质量检验以及焊接缺陷返修等的技术要求。
本标准适用于总厚度超过8 mm、复层为铜或铜合金、基层为碳素钢或低合金钢的铜钢复合板的焊接。本标准未作规定的其他铜钢复合板的焊接亦可参照使用。
