GB 13539的本部分适用于装有额定分断能力不小于6 kA的封闭式限流熔断体的熔断器。该熔断器作为保护标称电压不超过1 000 V的交流工频电路或标称电压不超过1 500 V的直流电路用。1)
本部分的下续部分标准里包括了那些应用在特殊条件下的熔断器的补充要求。
IEC 609473《低压开关设备和控制设备〓第3部分：开关、隔离器、隔离开关及熔断器组合电器》中使用的熔断体亦应符合本部分要求。
