本标准规定了烧结多孔砖和烧结多孔砌块的术语和定义，产品分类、规格、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、产品合格证、存放和运输等。
本标准适用于以粘土、页岩、煤矸石、粉煤灰、淤泥（江河湖淤泥）及其他固体废弃物等为主要原料，经焙烧制成主要用于建筑物承重部位的多孔砖和多孔砌块（以下简称砖和砌块）。
