本标准适用于传递到人体全身，频率范围为0.5 Hz～80 Hz的周期、随机和瞬态的振动。本标准仅适用于站姿和坐姿。
本标准不适用于传递到手臂系统的振动，也不适用于与运动病相关的极低频的横向、垂向和旋转运动。本标准不提供评价振动影响的方法。相关内容包含在GB/T 13441.1-2007和关于固定导轨运输系统的标准ISO 2631-4中。
