本标准规定了GB/T 6974.3所定义的塔式起重机设计计算的规则、要求和方法。
本标准适用于：
——可组装与拆卸的塔式起重机；
——永久性安装的塔式起重机；
——电力或内燃机（发动机）驱动的塔式起重机；
——其他型式或用途的塔式起重机。
本标准不适用于：
——可装设塔身的流动式起重机；
——带或不带臂架的安装桅杆；
——标准发布前制造的塔式起重机。
