本部分规定了机械产品在湿热地区的环境参数及其严酷等级。
本部分适用于GB/T 4797.1规定的“湿热”和“亚湿热”两个气候区使用的一般用途的机械产品，包括农机具、内燃机、工程机械、矿山机械、重型机械、起重运输机械、石化通用机械、电工产品、仪器仪表、机床工具、通用零部件等。
本部分不适用于高浓度化学腐蚀介质、船舶、矿井用产品的特殊环境条件。
