本标准规定了额定电压为250 V以下，用于下述目的的单端或双端卤钨灯的性能要求：
——投影(包括电影放映和静态投影仪）；
——摄影(包括摄影棚用）；
——泛光；
——特殊用途；
——普通用途；
——舞台照明。
本标准的部分要求在“相关灯参数表”中给出。对于某些灯，本标准列出了其参数表。对于列入本标准范围的其他灯，由灯的生产者或销售商提供灯的参数。
