本标准规定了传声器的分类、要求、测量方法、检验规则、标志包装和贮存运输等。
本标准适用于语言、音乐等音频范围内的一般声系统设备用传声器，不适用于无线传声器、数字传声器。
适用本标准的传声器，包括如变压器、前置放大器或构成传声器完整部分的其他部分及由制造厂规定的输出端的所有设备。
