本标准适用于工业循环冷却水中钙含量范围为0.5 mg／L～75 mg／L、镁含量范围为0.1 mg／L~50 mg／L的测定，也适用于各种工业用水、原水和生活用水中钙、镁含量的测定。
本标准同时也适用于工业循环冷却水用磷锌预膜液中钙含量的测定。
