本标准规定了工业循环冷却水和锅炉用水中钾、钠的测定方法。本标准中原子吸收光谱法适用于钾含量0.1 mg/L～50 mg/L、钠含量0.1 mg/L～500 mg/L的测定，电位法适用于钠含量0.01 mg/L～100 mg/L的测定，火焰发射光谱法适用于钾含量0.1 mg/L～10 mg/L、钠含量0.1 mg/L～10 mg/L的测定。
本标准也适用于各种工业用水、原水及生活用水中钾、钠的测定。
