本标准规定了气瓶的水压爆破试验方法及试验装置的基本要求。
本标准适用于公称工作压力为1 MPa～35 MPa、公称容积为0.4 L～3 000 L的钢质无缝气瓶、焊接气瓶、铝合金无缝气瓶和缠绕气瓶的水压爆破试验。
本标准不适用于工业用非重复充装焊接钢瓶。
