本标准规定了失真度测量仪（以下简称失真仪）的术语、产品分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存等。
本标准适用于谐波失真度测量仪，作为产品设计、鉴定、生产、使用、测试的技术依据，也是制定失真仪产品标准的依据。
本标准也适用于低频综合测量设备中的电压和谐波失真测量部件。
本标准不适用于非线性互调失真度测量仪和瞬态失真度测量仪。
