GB/T 16422的本部分规定了试样暴露在潮湿条件下的开放式碳弧灯试验方法，该方法用于模拟材料在实际使用环境中暴露于日光或经窗玻璃过滤后的日光下发生的自然老化效果。
本部分适用于在碳弧灯光源暴露条件下塑料的耐候性评定以及塑料间的耐候性对比试验。
