本标准规定了输送天然气、石油气、危险液体、高挥发性液体、二氧化碳钢质管道压力试验的做法。本标准适用于管道及管道设施组成部分的压力试验。管道及管道设施包括：线路管道、站场管道、管道附属物、管道设备附属物、装配组件、阀门、管件等。
本标准不适用于泵组、压缩机组、泄压罐、压力容器、控制管道、取样管道、仪表管道，或其他标准指定压力试验要求的组件或管道系统（如锅炉和压力容器，建筑标准涉及的管道系统等)。
本标准也不适用于使用天然气、氮气或空气作为试压介质的管道系统压力试验。
