本标准规定了地质岩心钻探钻具类别、规格和符号、管材性能和互换性尺寸等内容。包括：
——绳索取心钻杆和普通钻杆及其连接件；
——取心钻具；
——套管及其附件。
本标准适用于钻孔深度3 000 m以内的地质岩心钻探，包括采用提钻取心和绳索取心钻进工艺的金刚石钻进、复合片钻进及硬质合金钻进。工程地质钻探、小口径工程施工钻进可参照采用。
