本标准规定了一种测定各类纺织品的颜色耐人造光源代替天然日光作用以及同时耐热的作用的能力及抗老化的能力的方法。在5种不同的曝晒条件中（见6.1），4种使用D65光源，1种使用更短的截止波长光源。本测试方法特别考虑到纺织品受到机动车内部产生的光和热的影响。
这5种不同的曝晒条件能提供相似但不一定是同样的试验结果。
