本标准适用于乙氧基化醇和烷基酚的硫酸化中和产品〔烷基醇氧乙烯醚硫酸盐（乙氧基化醇硫酸盐）〕或烷基酚氧乙烯醚硫酸盐（乙氧基化烷基酚硫酸盐）中活性物质总含量的测定。
总活性物质包括溶解于乙醇的有机物（烷基醚硫酸盐、烷基酚醚硫酸盐、聚乙二醇硫酸盐和非离子组分）。
