本标准规定了玻璃纤维短切原丝毡和连续原丝毡(以下简称毡)的分类和代号、产品规格、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于增强塑料和增强胶凝材料的玻璃纤维短切原丝毡(以下简称短切毡)和玻璃纤维连续原丝毡(以下简称连续毡)。对于玻璃纤维连续单丝毡、玻璃纤维针刺毡也可参照采用。
本标准不适用于玻璃纤维缝编毡、玻璃纤维薄毡，也不适用于绝热隔音用途的玻璃纤维毡。
