本标准规定了由石油馏分精制制取的工业己烷的产品分类、要求与试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存及安全。

本标准适用于化学合成(如聚丙烯、聚丁烯及乙丙橡胶的聚合)工艺用己烷溶剂以及制备粘结剂、涂料、油墨和各种萃取过程使用的工业己烷。

本标准不适用于食用植物油脂和蛋白萃取用己烷。
