本标准规定了绍兴酒的术语和定义、地理标志产品保护范围、产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于国家质量监督检验检疫行政主管部门根据《地理标志产品保护规定》批准的地理标志产品保护规定目录中的绍兴酒，又称绍兴黄酒（以下统一简称绍兴酒）。
