本部分规定了采用成型绕组的交流、直流旋转电机绝缘结构电压耐久性评定的试验规程。本试验规程实质上是对比性的，即将待评绝缘结构性能与经运行经验证实的基准绝缘结构性能相比较。本试验规程主要适用于空冷电机绝缘结构，但也适用于氢冷电机部分绝缘结构的评定。注意IEC/TS 600341842规定了变频器供电的成型绕组绝缘结构的鉴别规程。
