本标准规定了压力容器视镜玻璃的标记、材质、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装和贮存。
本标准适用于工作温度不超过280 ℃、工作压力低于6.4 MPa的压力容器的、经钢化工艺制成的圆形硼硅玻璃（以下简称视镜玻璃)。
本标准不适用于用在介质毒性为HG 20660规定的极度危害和高度危害的压力容器的视镜玻璃。
