GB/T 18798的本部分规定了固态速溶茶的产品分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标签标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本部分适用于以茶树（Camellia sinensis L.O.kuntze）芽、叶、嫩茎为原料，经水提取、分离、浓缩、干燥制成的速溶茶（水溶性固态物）。
本部分不适用于含有非茶类碳水化合物作为疏松剂或填充剂的速溶茶、含有从茶树以外提取的香料物质的速溶茶和去（低）咖啡碱的速溶茶。
