GB/T 18910的本部分适用于字段型无源单色液晶显示屏，它给出了评定液晶显示屏所需的质量评定程序、检验要求、筛选序列、抽样要求、试验和测试方法的细节。
对于按规定工艺生产的所有产品，能力批准程序可代替鉴定批准程序(见QC001002程序规定的11.7，但液晶显示屏的能力批准程序目前正在考虑中)。
除非在4.7提出修订要求，本规范中全部要求都保持有效。
