本标准规定了过氧乙酸溶液的要求，试验方法，检验规则，标志、包装、贮存、运输和安全。
本标准适用于由过氧化氢和乙酸反应生成的过氧乙酸溶液，也适用于过氧化氢和乙酸分别包装混合配制后生成的过氧乙酸溶液的生产、检验和销售。本标准Ⅰ型产品、Ⅱ型产品主要用作消毒剂的原料，Ⅱ型产品也用作漂白剂和有机合成，Ⅲ型产品主要用作有机合成。
