GB/T 19314的本部分适用于拟用于制造艇体、上层建筑和附体的材料，特别是：
——可焊接的普通强度和较高强度的热轧钢板、宽扁钢、型材和棒材；
——奥氏体不锈钢板材和型材；
——锻造铝合金板材、型材或挤压型材；
——实木、胶合板或单板木材；
——其他可适用材料。
注1： 如果能证实对预定用途有足够的适用性和耐用性，在小艇制造中可采用其他材料。
本部分适用于按ISO 8666规定的艇体长度(LH)不大于24 m的小艇。
注2： 编制GB/T 19314本部分的根本理由是小艇制造中材料的选择对预期载荷和环境条件下的短期和长期耐用性具有重大影响。
