GB/T 19638的本部分规定了固定型阀控式铅酸蓄电池(以下简称蓄电池)的型号编制、外形结构及尺寸、端子位置、连接方式。
<br/ 本部分适用于在静止的地方并与固定设备结合在一起的浮充使用或固定在蓄电池室内的用于通信、设备开关、发电、应急电源及不间断电源或类似用途的所有的固定型阀控式铅酸蓄电池(以下简称蓄电池)和蓄电池组。蓄电池中的硫酸电解液是不流动的，或吸附在电极间的微孔结构中或呈胶体形式。
本部分不适用于起动用、储能用及通用型铅酸蓄电池和蓄电池组。
