本标准适用于交流电机和直流电机，具体规定了：
 a)绕组联接点的标注规则；
 b) 绕组线端标志；
 c) 旋转方向；
 d) 线端标志和旋转方向的关系；
 e) 辅助器件的线端标志；
 f) 电机的常用接线图。
本标准不适用于透平型同步电机。
