1.1 本标准规定了钢管（套管、油管和短节）、接箍毛坯、接箍材料及附件材料的交货技术条件，并建立了三个产品规范等级（PSL-1、PSL-2、PSL-3）的要求。PSL-1的要求是本标准的基础。附录H包括了除H40、L80 9Cr类和C110钢级以外的所有钢级的PSL-2和PSL-3产品规范等级的标准技术要求。
本标准所涉及的管子的规格、质量、壁厚、钢级和适用的管端加工列于表C.1和表C.2或表E.1和表E.2。
经购方和制造商协商，本标准还可适用于其他规格和壁厚的平端管。
