本标准规定了建筑结构用钢板的牌号表示方法、订货内容、尺寸、外形、重量及允许偏差、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志和质量证明书等。
本标准适用于制造高层建筑结构、大跨度结构及其他重要建筑结构用厚度6 mm~200 mm的Q345GJ 、厚度6 mm~150 mm的Q235GJ、Q390GJ、Q420GJ、Q460GJ及厚度12 mm~40 mm的Q500GJ、Q550GJ、Q620GJ、Q690GJ热轧钢板（以下简称钢板）。
热轧钢带亦可参照本标准执行。
