本标准规定了用以确定建筑材料或制品（不包括铺地材料以及2000/147/EC号《EC决议》中指出的制品）在单体燃烧试验（SBI）中的对火反应性能的方法。计算步骤见附录A。试验方法的精确度见附录B。校准步骤见附录C和附录D。
注：本标准的制定是用以确定平板式建筑制品的对火反应性能。对某些制品，如线性制品（套管、管道、电缆等）则需采用特殊的规定，其中管状隔热材料采用附录H规定的方法。
