本标准规定用于管螺纹丝锥的通用尺寸和标志。本标准可适用于以下两种类型的丝锥：
——圆柱管螺纹丝锥（见表1）；
——圆锥管螺纹丝锥(见表2)。
上述所称螺纹按ISO 228-1和ISO 7-1。
此外，本标准的附录中给出了有关各部分尺寸的计算方法。
