GB/T 20624的本部分规定了用一直径为12.7 mm或15.9 mm的球形冲头撞击涂层及底材而引起其快速变形并对变形结果进行评定的试验方法。
注:术语“耐冲击性” 是包括在本标准的标题中，但所用仪器的一个重要特征是它将引起快速变形而不是真正意义上的冲击。
当采用数值结果时，本试验方法再现性较差，故限定在同一实验室内进行试验。如用等级评定代替数值结果可以提高实验室之间的一致性。
