本标准适用于与过电流保护断路器及家用及类似场所用剩余电流动作断路器(带过电流保护或不带过电流保护)组装的(或预期组装的)机电式辅助触头组件，辅助触头组件的额定电压不超过交流440 V和直流250 V，额定电流不超过10 A。
注1:这些技术要求也可作为预期与其他家用及类似场所用开关电器组装的辅助触头组件的指导。
注2:与低能量(低电流值和／或电压值)电气器具有关的任何应用，推荐征询制造商的意见。对低能量触头，特殊的建议见IEC 60947-5-4。
