GB 2099的本部分适用于户内或户外使用的、家用和类似用途的、仅用于交流电、额定电压在50 V以上但不超过440 V、额定电流不超过32 A、带或不带接地触头的插头和固定式或移动式插座。
对于装有无螺纹端子的固定式插座，额定电流最大仅限为16 A。
本部分不包括暗装式安装盒的要求：只包括对插座进行试验所必须的明装式安装盒的要求。
