本标准规定了三氟化硼法和氢氧化钾氯化氢法两种脂肪酸甲酯制备方法及应用配有毛细管柱和火焰离子化检测器的气相色谱对脂肪中的脂肪酸进行定量分析的方法。
本标准适用于动植物脂肪、配制动物饲料的油类和混合脂肪酸以及配合饲料脂肪的提取物（包括脂肪和含有丁酸的脂肪酸混合物）中脂肪酸的测定。
本标准不适用于聚合脂肪酸。
