本标准规定了使用塞纳蒙法测量聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯（PET）薄膜双折射的方法，包括测定主应变方向及相延迟两部分。
本标准适用于单向或双向拉伸工艺制造的PET薄膜，应用拉伸工艺制造的其他塑料薄膜也可使用。
注： 本标准只涉及薄膜表面双折射，对于面内双折射不考虑。
