本标准规定了将适宜的PVC树脂、增塑剂和其他组分经行星混合过程制备成糊（也称塑溶胶）的两种方法，即方法A和方法B。
方法A和方法B均可用于制备任意组分的糊。方法A（单速）特别适用于制糊过程中易积热的树脂，而方法B（双速）由于其混合时间短，更适于重复操作，如树脂生产的过程控制。
这种糊可用于多种试验目的，包括用于树脂的命名和规范中树脂流变性的测定。
