本标准规定了饲料有机酸乳酸、柠檬酸、富马酸、苹果酸、酒石酸、山梨酸、甲酸、乙酸、丙酸、丁酸等的技术指标、检测方法、检验规则、标签、包装、运输和贮存要求。
本标准适用于利用单一有机酸调节剂制成的能够提高配合饲料酸度（pH值降低），或者改善青贮饲料品质的均匀混合物。
