本标准规定了化学品危险性评价的术语和定义、评价程序及评价化学品的范围。
本标准适用于化学品生产单位和进口单位对其生产或进口的化学品进行危险性评价。
本标准所评价的化学品是属于物质的化学品。
本标准不适用于放射性化学品、化妆品、医药、兽药、军用化学品及聚合物，但聚合物中含有本标准规定量的未聚合单体时，需对单体进行评价。
