本标准规定了硼酸盐非线性光学单晶元件低温相偏硼酸钡（β-BaB2O4，简称BBO）和三硼酸锂（LiB3O5，简称LBO）的质量测试方法。
本标准适用于BBO和LBO单晶元件。能满足本标准要求的其他硼酸盐非线性光学单晶元件也可参照使用。
