本标准适用于结构钢、工具钢、模具钢、不锈钢、耐热钢、钛合金、高温合金、难熔金属合金、精密合金等金属材料的真空热处理，包括真空加热淬火、真空回火、真空退火、真空固溶处理、真空时效等工艺。本标准不适用于真空渗碳或真空渗氮等工艺。
