本标准规定了投影仪用金属卤化物灯的分类与命名、主要尺寸、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于功率为150 W的单端和双端金属卤化物灯(以下简称灯)。符合本标准和GB 19652的金属卤化物灯，当采用符合附录A和附录B要求的镇流器、触发器和灯具时，在额定电源电压的92％～106％范围内，可以正常启动和燃点。
