本标准规定了家用和类似用途热泵热水器（以下简称热泵热水器）的术语和定义、产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存等。
本标准适用于电动机驱动，采用蒸气压缩制冷循环，以空气或水作为热源，以提供热水为目的的家用和类似用途的热泵热水器。其他热源或用途的热泵热水器可参照使用。
本标准不适用于工业用热泵热水器。
