本标准描述评估自动取样系统总不确定度的数学方法，适用于测定管输石油液体中水含量的自动取样系统。
通过统计学方法，对“抽取”式自动取样系统中定义的一系列独立分变量的各项系统不确定度和随机不确定度进行合成，该数学模型能评估其总不确定度（允差）。
水含量测定允差作为取样次数、水含量和含水分析次数的函数，在本标准中都以图表的形式进行了汇总，如图6～图11所示。
