本标准规定了钢质管道挤压聚乙烯防腐层及辐射交联聚乙烯热收缩带(套)补口的最低技术要求。
本标准适用于埋地钢质管道挤压聚乙烯防腐层的设计、生产和检验，及其现场补口的设计、施工和检验。其他敷设形式的管道挤压聚乙烯防腐层可参照执行。
挤压聚乙烯防腐层可分为最高设计温度不超过60 ℃的常温型（N）和最高设计温度不超过80 ℃的高温型（H）两类。
