本标准规定了与自由漂浮式救生设备（包括气胀式救生筏和应急无线电示位器，简称EPIRB）相连接的静水压力释放器（简称释放器，HRU）的性能和试验要求。符合本标准并已为主管部门认可的静水压力释放器，可视为符合1974年国际海上人命安全公约和国际海事组织（IMO）救生设备（LSA）规则。
