本标准规定了船舶上安装的艏向控制装置有关的构造、性能、检验及试验要求。
<br/ 本标准适用于根据获得的艏向信息，在与船舶操纵性相关的限制范围内以最小的舵机动作保持设定航向的艏向控制装置。
艏向控制装置可与航迹控制装置联合工作，控制艏向偏移。为控制回转，可提供回转角速度或回转半径控制。
注：本标准中凡直接引用IMO决议［经MSC.64(67)附录3修正的A.342(IX)决议和A694(17)决议］的要求均用斜体字印刷。
