本标准规定了料斗、筒仓、料仓和闸门等散状物料用贮存设备的专用安全规则，是对ISO 1819中规定的安全总则的补充。
本标准规定的安全规则的适用不考虑设备原本的用途。
本安全规则限定了供应商对连续搬运机械本身的责任，不包括附属部件的结构，除非这些结构建在贮存设备里。
