本标准适用于在任何应用和信息交换中对如下市场进行标识：金融工具的挂牌地点(公开挂牌地点）、相关交易的执行地点(交易地点）和交易细节的发布地点(交易信息发布机构）。市场识别码（MIC）从市场机构层面和市场部门层面进行注册。市场部门层面MIC编码与市场机构层面MIC编码在公布名单中进行了明确的关联。
